01
Context
I was asked to shape a brand new digital solution for the company. It is always exciting to be part of a project from the very beginning, and this was no exception. The task was to design a user journey focused on automatic route registration and management, fleet management, and roles for the solution.
02
My role
Business developer: Building the commercial case for the product and making sure what we built matched what the client and their drivers actually needed.
Stakeholder & partnership management: Aligning the client, the existing platform provider, and our own team on one shared outcome - and negotiating the terms that made the collaboration work.
03
The challenge
How to integrate the solution and its technical setup, so that it becomes a natural part of one's daily routines?
04
Process
- Competitor analyses
- Understanding laws and regulations
- Stakeholder interviews, negotiations and partnership alignment
- Iterative design process (design, test, learn and improve)
05
Outcome
A validated business case and prioritised roadmap the client's team could commit budget to.
A signed partnership agreement with the platform provider, unlocking a faster path to launch.
06
Learnings
Building a new solution on top of an existing framework is not necessarily an advantage. Understanding ALL user flows is key.
